Charity Week – An extremely successful student-led event, raising a substantial amount for the annual Charity Week. Our Student Social Entrepreneurs worked collaboratively with the staff, organising, and managing events on-campus for the entire week through a wide range of activities including games, bake-sales, movie-screenings etc.
Wa’hab Ramadan Donation Drive – A successful collaboration with Wa’hab, a non-profit organization, co-founded by entrepreneur Wardah Mamukoya, tackling food wastage by providing surplus food to the underprivileged. We managed to raise 800 kilogrammes of everyday essentials through its ‘Let’s Make a Difference this Ramadan’ campaign! The range of items collected from the campaign were organised into ‘Ramadan Kindness Boxes’ and distributed in the labour camps.
Students are introduced to a wide range of clubs and societies during the Induction Day held prior to the commencement of classes. However, OUC welcomes and encourages students to continue exploring their interests and skills by engaging in clubs throughout the course of their study. If students wish to sign-up for a new or a different club sometime during the academic year, they can contact the Office of Student Experience and Academic Registry via experience@oryx.edu.qa.
