Oryx Universal College

Oryx Universal College offers British BSc (Hons) and MSc qualifications in Qatar, in partnership with prestigious Liverpool John Moores University.

Backed with over 100 years of collective experience of the founders in educating future leaders, we are determined to contribute to the Qatar National Vision 2030 through changing the knowledge and skills development landscape in Qatar.

We are the one and only private sector higher education provider predominantly focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. We provide students with a balance of practical and theoretical studies which complement one another.

Ranking

Liverpool John Moores University achieved its highest ever ranking at 59th in the TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk 2019 league tables (published Wednesday 25 April 2018). LJMU also achieved a top 20 for Engineering.

Liverpool John Moores University currently sits at 63rd in the Guardian University Guide 2020.

Our Team

The staff­ at Oryx Universal College, LJMU’s local partner, are committed to providing students with a comparable, if not better, student experience here in Qatar than that of the students studying at the UK campus. All academic staff here in Qatar are validated by LJMU in the UK and have been heavily involved in research and scholarly activities. We provide a one of a kind teaching experience.
