This degree will provide fundamental knowledge in, and develop an advanced understanding of the theory and practice of construction technology, law, procurement, construction contracts, measurement, construction management, financial management, business management, information technology and project management in the wider business and built environment sectors.
The programme is designed to create opportunities for collaborative and individual student-centred study on project tasks that simulate real working practices in order to develop analytical, critical and problem solving skills such that they can define, investigate and analyse problems, form judgements, make decisions and demonstrate the acquisition of such.
Qatari qualifications Qatari General Secondary Education Certificate (Al-Thanawiyya Al-Amma) 60% or above, with minimum IELTS score of 5.0 (no single element less than 4.0) or recognised equivalent English language proficiency (eg. TOEFL, Cambridge Advanced, PTE etc.)
IGCSE & AS Level Minimum 5 IGCSE passes (including grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language) and a minimum of 2 AS Levels (grade D or above)
Other equivalent secondary education qualifications will be considered.
Students with A Levels, Qatar Associate Degree, Academic Bridge Program (ABP), a Foundation qualification or other qualifications that could be equivalent may be accepted for advanced entry into year 2 (level 4) of the 4-year degree.
Additionally, the OUC Admissions department may request the student to undertake an entry assessment to determine eligibility to the programme.

Career prospects for quantity surveying graduates are excellent, with many students securing their first professional position working for clients, contractors or professional practices either before or after graduation. You can work in the Public or the Private sector and will be equipped with skills to work in the building or civil engineering field.
If you decide not to go into the profession, however, you can still take advantage of your transferable skills and work experience to enter other careers.
